October 2012 Pack Meeting

Had a great time at the Pack Meeting. Congratulations to all the new Scouts that earned their Bobcat Badge! Thanks to all who participated in the homemade costume contest and the pumpkin auction!

Great Time at Webelos Woods 2012

Our Webelos I & II had a great time with the other 1400 Webelos at the 30th Webelos Woods. Congratulations to Webelos I Den 3 for getting 2nd place out of all attendees in the Dirt Sled race!

 

 

 

Padres Scout Night 2012

Had a great time marching in the pre-game parade and watching the Padres win!!! Patches will be handed out at the next Pack Meeting.

 

Webelos Woods October 12-14

Come join us for a weekend of games, hikes and activities geared toward introducing Webelos Scouts to what awaits them as Boy Scouts. The events are sponsored by local Boy Scout Troops planning to show your Webelos a great time! Enjoy the mountains, fresh air, star gazing, hikes, sleeping in tents or under the stars, other Webelos leaders and watching your Webelos grow as they encounter Boy Scout activities!!!!

If you want your son to have some fun, excitement, outdoor opportunities, and a chance to participate in a program in which he doesn't always have to win - instead, he learns about "Do your best" and how to be helpful to others - then we have just the program for you!

Cub Scouting is a home- and neighborhood-centered program designed to support and encourage quality family involvement for boys in the first through fifth grades. Each Cub Scout learns to respect his home, country, and other people. The program also helps boys this age to:

• Learn new physical skills through sports, crafts, and games

• Learn how to get along with others through group activities

• Develop new mental skills such as writing and calculating

• Develop personal independence

• Learn to make values-based decisions that assist them throughout their adult life

Coastal Cleanup Day

Update 9/15: Congratulations to everyone that showed up for today's Coastal Cleanup Day at Lake Murray. Our Pack collected over 60 lbs of litter/trash, which according to the gentleman running the scale, is a new record!!!

Pack 928 Fishing

We had a great turn out for cookout and fishing at Lake Jennings this past weekend. Although no fish were caught, everyone had a great time!

Can't wait to see everyone at our next Pack event which is Dos Picos camping trip Aug 17-19.

Cosmic Bowling

Had a great turn out and lots of fun with Cosmic Bowling at Parkway Bowl. Think I even saw a couple of games break 100!

We had Planes, Tanks, Boats and even Race Cars at this Years Drive-in-Movie-Night!!!

Pack 928 Blue and Gold Celebration

Are you ready for some FUN??!!

Come Celebrate with "Your" PACK the Blue and Gold Banquet! Get your Uniforms pressed, your awards displayed and grab your entire Family to be a part of a Fantastic TEAM of Bears, Wolves, Webelos I-II and our Leaders.....!!!

Why: To bring "Our" families together for an evening of fun and cheer!

What is a Blue and Gold Banquet?

The Blue and Gold Banquet is the Birthday Dinner for the Scouting Program most often held in February. February is the Anniversary month of the B.S.A. which was organized in February 1910! The Cub Scouts followed 20 years later (1930). The idea behind the Banquet is to CELEBRATE the pack's anniversary, THANK pack leaders and other adults (Akela) who have helped the Pack and inspire the Leaders, Scouts and Parents
