THE SCOUTS IN PACK 928 enjoyed some winter fun in January. Camping at the lodge in Mt. Laguna was a blast! We had a great hike down to Big Laguna Lake. We even saw a coyote walking off to his den. The weather was chilly, but no snow this year. The boys and siblings made their "marshmallow launchers" and had some friendly target competition in the lodge. They also helped to cleanup some debris from a fallen tree on the campground. And, the WEBELOS did an awesome job cooking the meals and even cleaning the dishes.
Back from camping, the next night we held out monthy Pack Meeting with a special "Box Car Movie Drive-In" event. The scouts and siblings brought in their home made box cars to sit in and watch a movie after the regular meeting. We had many militaty vehicles this year, along with some cool cars and trucks. All the box cars looked fantiastic. Great job scouts!

January - Winter Fun
JANUARY BRINGS US winter time fun for Pack 928. Get ready for some family camping in the mountains. Our annual trip to Mt. Laguna is planned for January 23 to 25. We'll be in the big lodge with games, crafts, perhaps a skit or two, and relaxing. If we have good weather we'll get in a hike too. Please talk to your Den Leaders for details.
The January Pack Meeting is Monday, January 26, in the auditorium at Marvin Elementary. Please note that we will start this meeting early at 6:00 PM. We're starting early in order to hold our "Box Car Drive-in Movie". Scouts and their siblings are encouraged to make and bring in their homemade box cars to sit in and watch a movie at the "drive-in". So, parents and scouts, start working on your box cars now! You can be as simple or elaborate as you wish. Hope to see you all there!
